Dahlonega Art Walks

Looking for a unique art experience on Saturdays? Look no further than Dahlonega downtown square in front of 94 N Public Square. Chestatee Artists, a local art organization, is providing demonstrations as artists show their creative talents from 10 am to 3 pm., the first Saturday of each month through October. Saturday, September 1, watch as artists, Norma Hulsey and Dorothy Abercrombie, paint their creative works in oils and/or watercolors.

Several downtown Dahlonega shops also have arts and craft demonstrators during regular store hours. See the creative whimsy of artist Grant Searcey as he paints in acrylics on the plaza in front of Searcey Jewelry and More, just off West Main Street. On the north side of the square, the Bleu Gallery features talented artists Mike Miller, Beth Brightwell, Terry Ergle, and Brandon Jones. Just a few steps down that block you can catch Brad Walker creating his one of a kind pottery. Turn the corner onto North Park Street and go into Picket Fence for more unique paintings by Kitty Craven. Cross North Park Street and go into Cranberry Corners where you will find Jon Dahlstrom, Cleo nominated illustrator, drawing his unique creations. In addition, step into many Dahlonega shops and restaurants to see the original art and photography that adorns the walls and is for sale.
