		<description><![CDATA[Thanks, Cedar.  I have small pieces of completely natural wood from splitting wood and building projects (I know they&#039;re organic because my son milled the wood).  My swales are large and need more fill than I have.  However, people who have never read anything about permaculture told me that termites would go under the straw, enter the small wood, then travel downhill to my fruit trees.  My position is that termites don&#039;t attack healthy, live trees, which my trees are.....And that dying, termite infested wood is all over any natural forest and people don&#039;t go around removing those in fear that a healthy forest will be infested.  So, that is why I asked.  Beth]]></description>
