7:30 am – Dahlonega Firecracker 5k / 10k Fun Run Start (Registration at 6:30am) , Located on the North Georgia Drill Field
8:00 am – Registration for TLC Pet Show in Hancock Park
10:00 am – 5:00 pm – Kids Fun Zone in Hancock Park, Inflatables, Games, Home Depot Workshop
10:00 am – 6:00 pm – Community Service Corner on Historic Downtown Square
10:00 am – 5:00 pm – Gold City Classic Car Club Show, Located at Courthouse Hill on East Main Street
12:00 pm – Patriotic Ceremony on the West Lawn of the Gold Museum, Mayor Gary McCullough, Master of Ceremonies, Col. Mike Pyott, Keynote Speaker
12:30 pm – Community Reading of the U.S. Constitution and Declaration of Independence, Located on the West Lawn of Gold Museum (immediately following the Patriotic Ceremony)
1:30 pm – Stump Speeches in Hancock Park
2:00 pm – Old Fashioned Watermelon Eating Contest, Sponsored by The Dahlonega Nugget and Dahlonega Wal-Mart – Cub Scout Pack 303 will be serving up Free Watermelon Slices to the public following the contest
3:00 pm – 5:00 pm – Enjoy Live Music and Entertainment at the Appalachian Jam – Located on the Dahlonega Gold Museum Lawn
5:00 pm – Independence Day Parade in Downtown Dahlonega
6:00 pm Till They Run Out – Hot Dogs will be for sale on the North Georgia Drill Field
6:00 pm – Dark – Music & Entertainment on the North Georgia Drill Field, DJ Mike Burns, Home Depot Grill Raffle Winner Announced!
At Dark – Spectacular Fireworks Display from the North Georgia Campus, FREE PARKING IN THE NORTH GEORGIA PARKING DECK!
